Three months ago I sent a resignation letter to my HeatSpring colleagues. That sounds like a seriously negative move, but it was the complete opposite of that. I wrote the letter to celebrate the things we’ve accomplished and share my excitement about the future. To live in an era of abundant opportunity, and to have a world-class team capable of running and improving the business without me, is as good as it gets.

I’m copying the letter here because it reflects our collective optimism about where we’re headed. The world, the company, and the individuals are all poised to make important leaps and meet the inevitable challenges head-on. We’re grateful to be alive, and for the opportunity to get up every day and accelerate the positive changes already underway.

Thank you to those who’ve helped make HeatSpring’s first nine years so much fun. Don’t worry – I’m not dying. You can reach me on LinkedIn or brianhayden11@gmail.com any time. Duncan, Tom, Gabby, and Abby are always at your service, and 2016 is going to be the best year ever.
