HeatSpring and Sean White are excited to announce the launch of our NABCEP PV Associate Prep course in Spanish. With over 559 million Spanish speakers worldwide and 13% of the U.S. population speaking Spanish at home, this update allows us to reach a broader audience. By offering this popular course in Spanish, we hope to empower more individuals to boost their technical knowledge base and gain credentials to support their career growth in the industry. Whether you’re a native Spanish speaker or simply more comfortable learning in Spanish, we’re happy to welcome you to our growing community of (soon-to-be) credentialed solar professionals.

Course Logistics

Like the English version of the course, it will take learners 18-24 hours to complete. The audio in the video lectures has been translated to English by native Spanish speakers. The visuals within those videos are in English. Sean’s renowned practice questions, a favorite among students, are available in both Spanish and English, allowing students to prepare thoroughly in their preferred language.

It’s important to note that currently, the NABCEP PVA exam is only offered in English. While NABCEP has plans to translate the exam into Spanish, no specific timeline has been announced yet. This course prepares students for the English exam while allowing them to learn the content in Spanish.

Anyone currently enrolled in the Solar PV Boot Camp + NABCEP PV Associate Exam Prep course can be transferred to the Spanish course at no cost. Just send us an email at support@heatspring.com

About the NABCEP PV Associate

The PV Associate is NABCEP’s entry-level solar credential. It is intended for folks newer to the solar industry, students in renewable energy programs, or job seekers looking to get into the solar industry.

It’s a great way to show potential or current solar employers that credential holders have taken the time, energy, and focus to build a solid foundation of the fundamental principles of application, design, installation, and operation of solar PV systems.

There are two main pathways to sit for the NABCEP Associate exam:

  • Education Pathway – Take a training course with a NABCEP Associate Registered Training Provider like HeatSpring’s NABCEP Solar PV Associate Prep Course – Spanish.
  • Experience Pathway – Working full-time for at least six months in the solar industry
