RE+ is the biggest solar conference in North America. This year it’s happening in Las Vegas on September 11-14, 2023.
It’s impossible to see everything at a huge show like this. So here are some of the events that we will be attending, plus alternative options for the people who can’t make the trip to Vegas:
- Monday the 11th – Bill Brooks and Sean White are teaching a pre-conference workshop, “PV, Energy Storage and the 2023 NEC”. You can preview some of what they’ll be covering in this newly released free course: “2023 National Electrical Code (NEC) Updates for the Solar Industry”
- Tuesday the 12th – SEIA & IREC are hosting “Apprenticeship Power Hour”. This is part training, part networking opportunity for companies to learn more about registered apprenticeship programs. “How to Start Your Registered Apprenticeship Program” is a great primer on solar apprenticeships that you can check out now.
- Wednesday the 13th – Tim Montague will be recording podcast episodes from his booth (2269 Sands Level 2). Stop by and say hello to Tim if you have time – he is a great connector and he teaches solar sales courses like this free course, “Qualifying Commercial Solar Leads & Projects”.
- Tuesday the 12th & Wednesday the 13th – I (Brian Hayden) will be meeting with companies about HeatSpring for Teams. If you’re at the show, you can book time to meet with me in real life (here). If you’re not at the show, you can still book time to meet with me virtually (here).
- Also on Tuesday the 12th – Erika Symmonds from SEIA, Riley Neugebauer from Namaste, and ShaLonda Dwight from SOLV are talking about “Creating a Culture of Inclusion in Construction and the Trades”. That’s a group we don’t want to miss. If you can’t attend, you might check out the free, “Competing for Solar Talent in 2023” course.
WHAT IS RE+? (from the RE+ site)
RE+ (formerly SPI, ESI, and Smart Energy Week) hosts the most comprehensive event for the renewable energy industry. By recognizing that energy sources and their infrastructure are the most efficient and productive when working in tandem, we are helping the renewable energy industry pave the future for a modern, resilient grid.
RE+ offers business opportunities and education for many industries within the energy industry—solar, storage, wind energy, electric vehicles and electric vehicle infrastructure, microgrids, and hydrogen and fuel cells. Past exhibitions have also included geothermal and biomass.
RE+ 2023 will be held at two sites:
The Venetian Convention & Expo Center
201 Sands Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89169
3911 Koval Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Here’s why RE+ generates so much excitement every year
Cutting-Edge Content and Insights
At the heart of any great conference is its content, and the RE+ Solar Conference doesn’t disappoint. Renowned experts, thought leaders, and industry innovators will take the stage to share their insights, experiences, and predictions for the future of solar energy. From breakthrough technologies to emerging market trends, attendees can expect to be immersed in a wealth of knowledge that is crucial for staying competitive in this dynamic field.
Tailored for Solar Professionals
What sets the RE+ Solar Conference apart is its focus on catering to the specific needs of solar installers, manufacturers, and related professionals. The agenda is designed to address the challenges and opportunities faced by those working in solar installation, making it a must-attend event for anyone in the industry. Whether you’re looking to expand your skill set, learn about the latest installation techniques, or explore new business avenues, the conference promises to provide actionable insights that can make a real difference.
Networking is a cornerstone of professional growth, and the RE+ Solar Conference offers a unique platform for connecting with like-minded individuals. Attendees will have the chance to rub shoulders with industry veterans, technology providers, policy influencers, and potential clients. These interactions can pave the way for collaborations, partnerships, and business expansion, all while fostering a sense of community within the solar sector.
Hands-On Workshops and Demonstrations
Theory is important, but practical skills are equally vital in the solar installation field. The RE+ Solar Conference goes beyond lectures by offering hands-on workshops and live demonstrations. Attendees can get up close and personal with cutting-edge solar technologies, tools, and installation methodologies. This interactive approach empowers professionals to integrate new techniques into their work and gain a competitive edge.
Insights into Policy and Regulations
Policies and regulations have a profound impact on the solar industry’s growth. The RE+ Solar Conference recognizes this fact by dedicating sessions to discuss the latest policy changes, incentives, and regulatory updates. Professionals can gain a comprehensive understanding of the legal landscape, enabling them to navigate challenges and seize opportunities.
We’d love to see you at the show!
