Your Team Training Dashboard Just Got a Lot More Useful Brit Heller If you manage training for a team on HeatSpring, log in and take a look around. We just rolled out a massive redesign to the team dashboard, and it makes a real difference for the people running training programs day to day. What’s New? Managing a team training program can have some recurring headaches: courses that got purchased but never assigned, teammates who enrolled and then stalled, credits that are hard to track, and certifications quietly lapsing. This redesign addresses all of that directly. A landing page that actually tells you something. The new dashboard home shows your team discount, credit balance, upcoming certification expirations, and a learning activity chart – all at a glance. You don’t have to dig for the information that matters most. Available seats tab. This is arguably the most useful new feature. You can now see every course seat that’s been purchased but not yet assigned, all in one tab. If your organization has bought seats that are sitting unused, this surfaces them so you can put them to work. Idle seats tab. A seat is considered idle when a teammate hasn’t visited in 30 days and is under 10% course progress. Those seats can be transferred or reclaimed – and this tab surfaces all of them so you can act on the stalled ones without hunting through your full roster. Course access still runs from the original enrollment date, so there’s no reset when you reassign. Credit balance tab. Teams can now prepay for training and draw it down on course enrollments over time. The new credit balance tab makes it easy to see what’s available and how it’s being spent. Seat pricing that makes sense in the moment. When you buy course seats, your dashboard now calculates pricing on the fly and shows you when you’re approaching a discount tier. It also explains how the process works, which is helpful for team leaders who are new to buying seats for their teams. Pending invites in their own tab. Previously, pending invites were mixed in with active teammates and easy to lose track of. They now have a dedicated tab so you can see exactly who hasn’t accepted yet. Search and pagination for larger teams. If you’re managing a bigger roster, the teammates page and purchases page both now load faster with pagination, and search makes it easy to find specific people. Reports: filter everything, find anything. The reports section now has a Legacy Reports tab for anyone who still relies on the current reports. The real news is how much you can filter. Need to see progress for one specific teammate? Filter by name. Want to know who’s stalled on a particular course? Filter by course. Looking for everyone who’s started but not completed, enrolled in a specific date range, or overdue on their last visit? All of that is filterable. You can slice by teammate, course, status (started, completed, unstarted), course type (paid or free), enrollment date, last visit date, and completion date. When you’ve got the view you want, you can email yourself the report directly. It’s a significant upgrade if you’re managing training accountability across a larger team. Clearer certification tracking. We added an explanation of how the certification tracker works, and HeatSpring certificates are now in their own tab for easier navigation. Less Admin, More Learning The clean energy workforce is growing fast, and the companies hiring into it are running real training programs with real budgets and real accountability. Team leaders shouldn’t have to spend time solving for basic visibility problems, things like which seats are assigned, who’s progressing, what’s been paid for, and what’s expiring. That’s what this redesign is about: less administrative friction, more time focused on whether your team is actually learning. Tell Us What You Think The dashboard is live now. Log in, explore the new tabs, and tell us what you think. We built this based on what team training leaders told us they needed, and we’re not done yet. If something isn’t working the way you’d expect, or if there’s a feature you wish existed, we want to hear it. Reach out to us directly at support@heatspring.com!
