Three BPI Credentials in One Week

We’re offering an intensive, five-day BPI training for motivated professionals who value efficiency and want to quickly establish credibility in the growing building performance sector. The course is live, virtual, and all of the testing fees are included. The first cohort runs July 21-25, 2025.

Course Overview

This is a live, 40-hour BPI training course designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to earn three BPI credentials BPI Building Analyst Certification – One Week Intensive – LIVE: Building Science Principles (BSP), Building Analyst Technician (BAT), and Building Analyst Professional (BAP).

Three Certifications Included

Building Science Principles (BSP)
This is the initial fundamentals course. This is a certificate of knowledge course. The final exam is an open-book, multiple-choice exam that requires a score of 70% to pass. The Building Science Principles Course is a Prerequisite for the Building Analyst Technician (BAT) certification.

Building Analyst Technician Certification (BAT)
This is the initial certification course for building analysts. This course trains individuals to utilize the diagnostic tools efficiently and perform an Energy Audit. This course is a prerequisite for the Building Analyst Professional (BAP) certification. To obtain certification, candidates must pass a proctored field exam demonstrating their ability to conduct an energy audit.

Building Analyst Professional Certification (BAP)
This is the final course in the certification suite. The BAP focuses on solving problems related to energy efficiency and health and safety issues. The Building Analyst Professional is a closed-book, multiple-choice exam that requires a score of 70% to obtain certification. This certification is prestigious. The IRS offers a tax credit to customers who receive an energy audit from a professional certified as a Building Analyst.

Instructor – The course is taught by Brynn Cooksey, known as the “Air Doctor,” who brings 15+ years of utility industry experience and is a Certified Master Trainer with IREC.

All-Inclusive Package – Rather than hunting down training materials, books, and proctoring services separately, everything is bundled together. This eliminates the typical coordination headaches of certification programs.

Progressive Certification Path – The course is structured to build from foundational knowledge (BSP) through practical skills (BAT) to professional-level expertise (BAP) in a logical sequence within one week.

Live Virtual Format – Combines the convenience of remote learning with real-time instruction and interaction, avoiding the isolation of purely self-paced courses.

Schedule – The 5-day breakdown allocates Monday-Tuesday to BSP, Wednesday to BAT training, and Thursday-Friday to BAP preparation. Class runs 8:30am – 4:30pm eastern time USA.

NOTE: All testing fees are included, but for remote testing to be conducted, the candidate must have BPI approved tools and a test house.
