Approved Courses for Virginia Electricians The following HeatSpring courses now qualify for Virginia electrician continuing education: Solar PV Boot Camp + NABCEP PV Associate Exam Prep – This comprehensive course covers PV fundamentals and prepares you for the NABCEP PV Associate credential exam. 40-Hour NABCEP Advanced PV Certification Training and CEUs – An in-depth code course designed to build expertise in solar PV systems and meet NABCEP training requirements to sit for several board certification exams. NFPA 70B: A New Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance – Learn about the latest standard for maintaining electrical equipment to ensure safety and reliability. 6-Hour NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Training – Essential training on electrical safety in the workplace, meeting NFPA Certified Electrical Safety Technician training requirements to sit for the exam. Virginia License Renewal Requirements Virginia electricians must complete 3 hours of continuing education every 3 years to maintain their license. All courses must be approved by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. While our approved courses exceed the 3-hour minimum requirement, they will satisfy your complete continuing education obligation for the renewal period. Important: Course Completion Notification Required This is critical for Virginia electricians: Due to state reporting requirements, you must email us at support@heatspring.com immediately upon completing any of these courses. We are required to submit student completion records to the state within 7 days of course completion, so timely notification is essential.
