One Year Trial of HelioScope Now Included in Megawatt Design Course Through Aurora Partnership Brit Heller HeatSpring and Aurora are teaming up to provide a pretty incredible hands-on learning experience for students. Now when students enroll in Megawatt Design, they will get access to HelioScope by Aurora for the duration of the course, which is one year from the date of enrollment. Join over 350 students who have already enrolled in the course to refine and catalyze their solar design skill set. Megawatt Design was created to help students learn large-scale solar design and how to get projects permitted and installed faster with a better return on investment. The training covers many types of large solar PV systems, in the range of 500 kW to 5 MW, with an emphasis on commercial rooftop systems. Working with HelioScope has been a part of the Megawatt Design course for years. Through this renewed partnership with Aurora through their Community Impact Partnerships program, HeatSpring Megawatt Design students can build their skills and mastery of the software over the course of their year-long enrollment in Megawatt Design. Students will use HelioScope to submit design assignments throughout the course. Co-instructors Randy Bachelor, President & Principal Engineer at Sol Rebel, and Will Lindsay, Energy Modeling Engineer also at Sol Rebel, provide feedback on design file submissions throughout the course and answer questions on the active discussion board. If getting your questions answered live is most helpful for you, you’re in luck! Students can also opt in to the optional live office hours hosted monthly via Zoom. This is a great opportunity to connect in a small group environment to have your questions answered in real time by the experts. This opportunity is made possible through Aurora’s Community Partnerships program, which focuses on three key areas: Workforce development Education Energy justice At Aurora Solar, their mission is to create a future of solar energy for all. They are committed to empowering the next generation of solar professionals that our world needs with access to industry leading solar software and professional development support. Aurora Solar is proud to partner with HeatSpring to provide the necessary transferable skills from the classroom to the jobsite.
