New Free LEED Green Associate Practice Exam

Brian Hayden Brian Hayden

Brick Maier just published a free LEED Green Associate practice exam. It includes 140 practice questions for the GA Exam and it’s based on LEED v4. All LEED exams are still based on v4, with a switch to v5 expected in 2026.

Why publish a free exam?

We’ve been working on some new LEED training this year, but have been using all of the v4 guides to create it. When we learned about v5 and the impending switch, we decided to publish the practice questions we’ve already got and start focusing our training efforts on v5. So when v5 takes effect, we’ll be ahead of the the game. And in the meantime, we hope these free exam questions will help you pass the test.

Why LEED?

We always wanted to offer LEED training and exam prep, we just never had the bandwidth to pull it off. Our capacity to build is higher now, so it feels like we finally have the time to do it. The slow rollout of v5 made the decision even easier. Since we’ve waited this long to do our first LEED course, it’s no bit deal to wait a little longer and launch something awesome in 2026.

The LEED GA is an entry level credential that is relatively easy to get. It’s in the same vein as the BPI’s Building Science Principles (BSP) Certificate, or the NABCEP PV Associate (PVA) Credential. People recognize the LEED brand and having the Green Associate bestows instant credibility within the building community. It’s not some rigorous and impressive license that will blow people away, but they’ll know you understand LEED and have taken the time to prove it.

These free practice exams are the most popular thing we do. People love them and we’re happy to release this LEED GA offering into the wild. I hope it helps some people that that new LEED GA credential they are after.
