From there, the course covers the full job search process. You’ll get a look at why now is such a strong time to enter the field, with solar installer ranked as the second fastest growing job in the country according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and electrician roles projected to grow at three times the national average. 

We cover where to actually find openings, from major job boards to the hidden jobs that many smaller companies only post on their own websites. You’ll also learn how to use LinkedIn to network with people already working in the industry, and how to explore union apprenticeships like the IBEW alongside other paid training pathways through state workforce programs, community colleges, and company-run apprenticeship programs.

The course wraps up with what happens after you apply: following up with employers, preparing for interviews, cleaning up your online presence, and spotting the scams that target job seekers online.

This course gives you a clear, practical path forward, from your first look at a career change through submitting your applications.
