Free Hydronics Design Software from John Siegenthaler Brian Hayden The Hydronics Design Studio Professional version is a set of powerful software tools to assist heating professional in designing high performance hydronic heating systems. It represents the state-of-the-art in computer-assisted design for modern hydronic heating systems. Powerful engineering simulation and sizing models lie beneath a simple, intuitive, and easy-to-use graphical user interface. This is a free hydronics design software demo that you can use to explore and play around with. We use it in our hydronic design courses. powered by Advanced iFrame. Get the Pro version on CodeCanyon. Getting to Know John Siegenthaler I first heard John Siegenthaler’s name from John Manning, a longtime HeatSpring geothermal instructor, who told me he was taking a class at Mohawk Valley Community College from the ‘Grand Poobah of Hydronics” (John). I remember thinking it was funny how every little niche industry has their celebrities, and clearly John was one of those in hydronics and radiant heating. A few years later I contacted John out of the blue about teaching and we spent an hour on the phone comparing notes, chatting, and brainstorming ways to do something exciting. He was open and enthusiastic – qualities I observe in all of the best teachers I work with. I felt lucky to have connected with a real pro. Since then I’ve heard stories about how John came to hydronic heating by way of aerospace engineering. About how his text book came to be, and all of the early stories of helping the radiant and hydronics industry take root. I’ve seen videos of his power parachute, his hobby that I never could have predicted, and hear about the great things his kids are doing in the world. The more I learn about this guy, the more impressed I am. I hope you’ll enjoy this free demo version of his software, and that it helps you to become a better, more knowledgeable designer of modern hydronic systems.
