Look around you. What do you see? Despair? Hope?
This experience you are facing is going to move you in one direction or another.
In the short term, you are going to be concerned. Just like the rest of us. You will be thinking about your family. Your community. Your solar ambitions.
You might also be thinking, “When will things get back to normal?”
The one question that I want you to also think about: “Will you be ready to leap on the opportunities when they present themselves?”
If we look at history as any gauge for events like this, there are few. Staying home has become our civic duty. Spending time with people we care about. Re-evaluating what is important.
One thing we’ve all learned.
With the decrease in human activities from driving and flying, the air is cleaner. We need clean air in order to live on this planet. And the planet is getting smaller with each passing year. This is a result of the increase in our inhabitants that live on it.
With knowing this, the world does need you now.
It needs you to continue your efforts to be involved in sustainability. A climate warrior. Helping others. The decisions you make, impact the people on the other side of this globe, as much as the people in your community.
Renewable energy and all of its supporting industries will continue to grow. People have had time to evaluate their own impact, as when you are home now. It has finally allowed you and the rest of us to truly understand the simple idea of “cause and effect”.
We need hope right now and we also need action. And before we have action, we need planning. We need strategies and tactics to go “all in” on what we do, and how we do it.
Solar and storage is here to stay and you want to be a part of it.
