Blending Battery-Free and Battery Back-Up PV Systems: Free Lecture Abby Thompson Curious about designing dual PV systems? Watch Christopher LaForge‘s new case study, in which the Kroska Residential PV installation, (a project blending two PV system designs– Battery Free and Battery Back-up) is discussed. The Kroska installation accommodates two roof planes and types, with a design that provides great cost-effectiveness and high ascetic quality. Enroll in “The Kroska Case Study: Solar PV Systems with Storage” today! Learning Objectives: After watching this lecture, students will be able to… Define photovoltaic blended designs Understand how to create one array on two roof-planes and types Identify the differences between designs with storage and without it Describe and identify the components of both systems Illustrate the benefit of blended systems Watch the free lecture, in which Christopher dissects David and Susan Kroska’s “Dual System Design” Learn more about instructor Christopher LaForge – Master Trainer (ISPQ), Great Northern Solar Christopher LaForge is the CEO of Great Northern Solar and a NABCEP certified photovoltaic installer. He has been designing, specifying, and installing systems since 1988. He has been an instructor with the MREA since 1993 teaching Advanced Photovoltaic design and installation and is an ISPQ Affiliated Master Trainer. For over 25 years, Christopher has been deploying renewable energy systems for both the grid interactive and off-grid markets. A strong advocate for clean energy production, Christopher volunteers with the Midwest Renewable Energy Association, the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (as a member of the Board of Directors), and the Northern Futures Foundation. Christopher has developed training for contractors, administrators, project managers, and the public.
